We were inspired during Black History Month to make a short photo series examining different items commonly found in black households. The intent was to place them in an intimate visual setting as a way to dissect and highlight their importance. These products are mostly ubiquitous for black families yet they hold a special significance to each of us. We wanted to capture that sort of unspoken knowledge of walking into a friend or family member's home and seeing 360 wave gel and a hard brush or seeing coconut oil, a comb, and detangler. We hope you enjoy our homage to the unspoken ties that inadvertently bind us all.

Make sure you follow us on social media so you know when we update this throughout the year.
